Sign Up for a Library Card
Permanent residents may join the library free of charge with proof of residency. The non-resident fee is $20 per year for a family membership. (Those who live in the Cluculz Lake area are considered non-residents for library membership because they have chosen not to be included in our tax base.)
If you are home-bound and cannot make a personal visit to the Library, we may be able to issue a membership over the phone or by email. Call 250-567-4060 or email email@example.com
Members of other BC libraries may be eligible for a BC OneCard, which would give them borrowing privileges at Vanderhoof Public Library.
Library card holders’ rights and responsibilities
You are responsible for all the materials borrowed on your card and for any charges on items that are overdue, lost, or damaged. (See Loan Periods and Fines for details). Your library card provides access to licensed databases from outside the library. You may also search our catalogue from home via the Internet, and access your account to place holds, keep lists and renew items.
Lost or stolen cards
If you lose your library card, you are responsible for any items checked out on your card. You must report it as lost immediately and we will flag your account so that no one else can use it. There is a $3 charge to replace a lost card.
Change of address or password
It is important for us to have your current information. If you change your address or other personal information, contact the library and we will update your record.
To change your PIN number, log in to your account, click on the “Account Preferences” tab, and change your password.
