“Turning Outward to Move Forward”

Mission:  To provide access to information, education and recreation in a safe and welcoming environment.

Strategic planning is crucial to the success of any organization. It enables an organization to clearly define its mission — its reason for being; to assess the current state of the organization — an accurate picture of how things are; to identify future directions by establishing concrete and measurable goals; to develop specific actions that will support the organization’s mission; and, to make decisions on allocating is resources — capital and human resources to realize its vision.

Interlibrary Connect and Illume are open again!

If you weren’t able to find the item you wanted in our collection, try searching for it in other

Libraries in BC.  On the Search Catalogue page, change the Library drop-down to search  BC InterLibrary Connect (at the very top of the list of libraries).  Put a hold on the book and it will be transferred for pick up at Vanderhoof.  Please return books to the Vanderhoof Library.

If you cannot find it through BC InterLibrary Connect (and only then), you can also try  Illume, a catalogue for other BC libraries. If you find it at another library, request it to be delivered to your home library for pick up!  Help for Searching Illume

We have online databases that you can access with your library card.  These databases contain information not freely available through the Internet.  Like magazine and encyclopedia articles, authoritative health and business resources, and much more.  Check out this really long list of available magazines (such as Maclean’s, The Economist, Elle, Fit Pregnancy, Education Canada, and thousands more).

Access our databases from our Information by Subject page or view a complete list of them here.
